Position is based out of office in Birmingham. Responsibilities include the investigation, evaluation and negotiation of non-standard auto claims. Requirements for the position include a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience as well as 3-5 years claims adjusting experience. Experience investigating and analyzing insurance coverage and legal liability is also required. Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary. Claims Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Auto Claim Bodily Injury Supervisor to oversee the handling of auto claims and provide leadership to a team of claims professionals. In this leadership role, you will oversee complex auto liability and bodily injury claims, guide claim strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of customer service excellence. Key Responsibilities • Lead and coach a team of auto BI adjusters, providing direction on claim handling, investigation, evaluation, and negotiation. Including those handling litigated and complex files. • Review and approve settlement recommendations, and overall claim strategy. • Ensure compliance with state regulations, internal guidelines, and best practices in claims handling. • Monitor performance metrics including cycle time, customer satisfaction, severity, and quality audit results. • Provide technical expertise on complex or high exposure BI claims. • Identify training needs and deliver ongoing development and mentorship. • Collaborate with internal partners, including Legal, SIU, Subrogation, and Medical Management teams. • Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and resolution focus. Qualifications • 5+ years of auto claims experience, including handling complex bodily injury claims. • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. • Strong knowledge of liability evaluation, injury claim valuation, negotiation strategies, and coverage analysis. • Experience handling or overseeing litigation and complex claims. • Excellent communication, negotiation, coaching, and decision making skills. • Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and drive performance outcomes. • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities. Education & Licensing • Bachelor degree preferred • Current Texas adjuster license required
